Make Your Own Pet Portraits
Basic step-by-step instructions will be provided. This program is suitable for most artistic skill levels. Participants will walk away with a unique framed painting of their pet. Tip on bringing your own photograph: your final result will be a reverse view (mirror image), so you may want to flip your photo before printing if possible.
If you don't want to bring your own picture, in honor of April 30th being National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, there will be photos on hand of adoptable dogs and cats from Worcester Animal Rescue League that you can paint instead! If you choose to paint a shelter pet, we can share your paintings with WARL, so maybe they'll help get them adopted!
Please note this program may get a bit messy, make sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting paint on!
Open to ages 6-18, younger participants may need assistance from a parent or guardian. No registration required, but supplies are limited.
