Let's Talk About It: a Book Club About the World Around Us
Your lived experiences give you a unique perspective on each book that you read, this book club will be a space for you to share your thoughts and opinions while also listening to other viewpoints. The titles chosen will reflect current (or recent) events to help teens increase their empathy while also finding their voice to speak up about what is happening around them as the leaders of tomorrow.
At our December meeting we'll be discussing voting and the book ATTACK OF THE BLACK RECTANGLES by Amy Sarig King (snacks will be provided while supplies last). Please try to have the book read prior to the meeting. Copies are available to check out (with your library card) from the Teen Space, don't forget to check out Libby or Hoopla for eBook and audiobook formats!
This book club is intended for Middle School students and is open to ages 11-15. REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Please make sure to register each person attending the book club meeting so we know how many people to expect.
