Revolutionary Worcester Walking Tour at Salisbury Mansion

From Worcester’s meetinghouse, near the site of today’s City Hall, to what we now call Lincoln Square, Worcester Patriots led Massachusetts towards revolution. Learn how local defenders of royal government walked a gauntlet of common men intent on defending their liberty, as they spread their revolutionary ideas between the town’s taverns and meetinghouse. The tour begins and ends at Salisbury Mansion, 40 Highland Street. Tours are limited to 20 people per tour. Registration is required. Visit to www.worcesterhistory.org/events Please note: In the event of inclement weather, the walking tours will be in-person presentations at Museum of Worcester at 30 Elm Street - Fletcher Auditorium. This public program is free, supported in part by grants to the Museum of Worcester from the Schwarz Charitable Foundation and Mass Cultural Council.
