ParentCamp is not your typical school meeting or lecture. Instead, it’s a unique opportunity for open dialogue among families, educators, and community partners. At ParentCamp, the entire room is the expert — everyone’s voice matters, and conversations are centered around mutual growth, shared leadership, and the goal of improving outcomes for all children.
Attendees will be able to choose from several facilitated small-group conversations on topics that matter to families and schools — ranging from supporting student well-being and academic success to parenting tips, digital safety, and community resources. Participants are encouraged to join multiple discussions, bring their questions and ideas, and connect with others who care deeply about education and community.
Schedule at a Glance:
5:00 PM – Check-in & Registration opens
5:15 PM – Welcome & “How We ParentCamp” overview
5:30 PM – Round 1 of breakout conversations
6:00 PM – Round 2 of the same conversations (join a new one!)
6:30 PM – Free dinner, community celebration, group sharing, photo & prizes
The event is bilingual, with English and Spanish support provided throughout. Free childcare will be available on-site so parents can fully participate in conversations. Every attendee will also enjoy a free meal, and there will be raffle prizes and a celebration of community voices to close the evening.
Who Should Attend:
Families and caregivers of students at Gauger-Cobbs, Keene, West Park Place
Any families within the Christina School District
Educators, staff, and administrators
Community members, nonprofits, and local leaders who want to connect and support education
This ParentCamp reflects the Christina School District’s continued commitment to strengthening family-school partnerships and creating welcoming spaces where parents and caregivers are empowered to engage and collaborate.
ParentCamp also serves as a model for shifting school culture — from traditional top-down communication to shared leadership and trust-building. It brings together the voices of parents, educators, and community organizations to co-create solutions and build a more inclusive, supportive ecosystem for children.
Come ready to share, learn, connect, and leave inspired.
Whether you’re a longtime Christina parent or new to the district, your voice is welcome and valued. Together, we can build bridges that strengthen our schools and support every child’s success.
