Camp Winkler

Camp Winkler, located in Alexandria, Virginia, takes kids aged 5-12 on adventures by exploring the natural world, providing opportunities for self-discovery, teaching real-world skills and investigating our own ecosystem, all within the 44.6 acres of Winkler Botanical Preserve. Staff at Camp Winkler strive to create a camp experience filled with innovative activities, thought-provoking pursuits and creative expressions, through crafts, games and challenges. Activities include close-up animal encounters, woodworking, hands-on skill-building and themed nature hikes. Camp Winkler is building upon its inaugural season last summer, as a unique mix of traditional summer camp and specialized nature experiences.
