The Capital Rare Book Fair will bring over 20 antiquarian booksellers from across the country to Washington DC's historic University Club, just steps from the White House. The fair will open with a preview night party with wine, beer, canapes and first access to the books. Tickets are $60.
The fair continues from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $15. Your ticket gives you unlimited access to the fair on Saturday and Sunday. Students are $10 and under 16s go for free.
The fair will feature lectures by award-winning author Avi, law professors Kermit Roosevelt and Noah Rosenblum and Jefferson expert Brian Alexander.
About the venue: Established in 1904 simply as the University Club, its first president was then Secretary of War and future United States President William Howard Taft. In 1936, it merged with the Racquet Club of Washington, and moved to its current location at 1135 Sixteenth Street NW, approximately three blocks north of the White House.
