FREE Concert - Youth Orchestras Perform - Sunday May 4th at T. Edison High School, Franconia 3:30 pm
The Washington Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (WMYO) for 9th-12th graders and, and the Washington Metropolitan Concert Orchestra (WMCO) for 6th-9th graders, are pleased to present their combined FREE Spring concert on May 4, 2025, at 3:30 PM at the Thomas Edison High School, 5801 Franconia Road, Alexandria/Franconia VA 22310.
These talented students will be performing Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8 (two movements) and David Popper’s Hungarian Rhapsody, Cello Concerto among other pieces. WMYO Music Director Alberto Rodriguez conducts the middle and high schoolers, and WMCO is led by Martin Garfield-Levine, Music Director.
Come and support these young musicians! Show your appreciation for their enthusiasm for the world of music and live performance by attending.

The WMYO is also excited to be asked to perform with the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic in a “Side-by-Side, All Dvořák” concert on May 18th at the Geo. Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria. (Like the recent WMP concerts, a sellout is expected – tickets are going fast!)
