Join Freedom Forum at The Wharf in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2-6 p.m. for a free festival that celebrates the freedoms brought to you by the First Amendment. RSVP now for up-close celebrations of free expression in action at Pearl Street Warehouse, a hip, intimate venue where you’ll see: - Jenn White, host of WAMU and NPR’s “1A” in conversation with Freedom Forum at 2 p.m. - Dulcé Sloan, comedian, actress and “The Daily Show” contributor, with one-of-a-kind stand-up comedy and conversation at 5 p.m. - Legendary go-go band EU, presented by Don't Mute DC, performs at 8 p.m. (This performance is for ages 21+.) Space is limited for these headline events, so RSVP now. All guests must RSVP for admission to each program. Plus, drop by Grove Stage for live music all afternoon featuring acoustic duo The Cahoots, the Stuart-Hobson Jazz Ensemble and more. Visit Boathouse Stage for demos by Pulitzer Prize-winning Politico political cartoonist Matt Wuerker and free caricature drawings. Stop in the Tent of Extraordinary Freedoms to be surprised and inspired by pop culture examples of free expression in action, and 1A Café for free First Amendment-themed snacks and drinks, giveaways, activities and more!
