The Shops at Waldorf Center, an open-air lifestyle shopping center located just minutes from the Capital Beltway in Waldorf, Maryland (www.theshopsatwaldorfcenter.com), will host a free outdoor screening of “Elf” (Rated PG) on Saturday, July 11th, as part of its “Summer Sunset Cinema” series, taking place in the parking lot adjacent to CAVA. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at sunset. As part of a special Christmas in July celebration, guests can enjoy visits from Santa and a Grinch-inspired character, toasted marshmallows, frozen hot chocolate, summertime "snow," food trucks, games and other family-friendly activities prior to the start of the movie. The event is hosted by 100 Black Men of Maryland. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. No alcohol or glass is permitted. This event is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. In the event of inclement weather, the screening will take place the following Saturday.
