Period. The Experience: An Open House Like No Other

Get ready to step into the world of menstrual health like never before! At Ms. Moxie's Moon Shop, we’re hosting Period. The Experience—an open house extravaganza to help non-menstruators (dad's, brothers, sons, partners, etc.) to walk a mile in someone else’s (menstrual) shoes. We invite menstruators to bring their families, partners (make it a date!) or friends AND we invite non-menstruators to come join us on their own (and make new friends)! However you are most comfortable - this is your chance to really understand what those you care about are going through—plus, it'll be more fun than a tampon aisle on sale! Come anytime between 11am - 5pm and move through the following stations: Period Product Playground: Ditch the mystery and get hands-on with both disposable and reusable period products. It’s like a tech demo, but for tampons and menstrual cups. Trust us, it’s more thrilling than it sounds. Period Pain Simulator Showdown: Ever wondered what period cramps feel like? Now’s your chance to experience it firsthand. Free to try, but a $10 add-on gets you front-of-the-line access to our period pain simulator—no queuing, just cramping. Cycle 101: Get schooled on the menstrual cycle and anatomy without the cringe. Learn the ins and outs of the cycle and finally understand why your partner’s so “moody” during those “special” days. Fun & Games Galore: Who says learning can’t be fun? Enjoy food from local friends, games, snag some awesome prizes, and grab discounts that’ll make you feel like you’ve won the menstrual lottery. AND we will even be playing the football games! Everyone's welcome—kids, partners, friends, parents, or anyone who could use a crash course in period health. The only thing taboo about this experience is leaving without a smile (and a greater sense of understanding and empathy). Join us and let’s break the menstrual taboo together—one laugh and learning moment at a time.
