Old Town TUBA CHRISTMAS
Come to this free and fun outdoor event in the heart of Alexandria on Sunday afternoon, December 1st. They perform just outside City Hall in Market Square. What better way to embrace the holiday season than with dozens of tubas playing familiar holiday tunes?
Grab a cup of hot chocolate from one of the eateries in Old Town and show your support for these energetic BIG horn players, young and old! This a FREE concert. Check the weather – maybe bundle up! On-street parking is free on Sundays.
Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association (WMPA) sponsors this event.
The WashMetPhil which will perform its own special holiday concert on Dec. 8th at the GW Masonic Memorial, featuring Duke ELLINGTON's "Nutcracker Suite" arrangement and the Alexandria Choral Society. Tickets available at WMPAMUSIC.org
WMPA sponsors the Dec. 7th FREE concert by both our YOUTH orchestras as they perform at Bishope Ireton High School. Support these young musicians as they play Dvořák, Warlock and more.
