PWC Hunger Free Community Campaign Kickoff Event

PWC Hunger Free is bringing together local, state, and national policymakers, county service providers, and advocacy organizations in a cross-sector coalition to tackle the problem of hunger in our community.
Come enjoy family-friendly fun—balloon art, face painting, bubble performer, and a dunk tank—all while raising funds for local food pantries: ACTS (ACTION in Community through Service), CFH (Creating Foundations for Hope), and Haymarket Regional.

On Sunday, July 27, campaign organizers Red, Wine, and Blue, the Latino Advocacy Network, and Indivisible Nova West launch the PWC Hunger Free Campaign with a Kickoff Rally and Food Drive. Elected local, state, and national officials and PWC community leaders will be in attendance to discuss food insecurity in PWC. The event also features an on-site food drive to stock pantry shelves for the summer, kid-friendly activities such as face painting and balloon animals, and a dunk tank with surprise guests willing to take the plunge for the cause.
