All aboard for a night of laughter, romance, and toe-tapping music as George C. Marshall High School’s Statesmen Theatre proudly presents Anything Goes! Featuring music and lyrics by the legendary Cole Porter, this timeless Broadway classic promises dazzling dance numbers, witty comedy, and unforgettable performances. Directed and choreographed by Ahmad Maaty, with music direction by Tiffany Powell, Anything Goes takes audiences on a voyage aboard the luxurious ocean liner S.S. American, where nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney (Saniya Desai) is en route from New York to England. Her pal Billy
Crocker (Jacob Lee) has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt (Dena Talebnejad/Evie Richardson), who is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh (Joan Alfaro/Shahrad Valizadeh). Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin (Anson
DeVinney/Maya Pedan) and his sidekick-in-crime Erma (Sophia Shelton). With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Moonface join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.” With show-stopping hits like “Anything Goes,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” and “You’re the Top,” this production will have audiences dancing in their seats.
