The New Dominion Choraliers of Prince William County have entertained audiences throughout the community and beyond for 28 years and continues to build bridges and spread joy throughout the year. This holiday season is no exception!
The chorus, directed by Katherine Nelson-Tracey, opens the season with an impressive and exciting concert celebrating the Brightest and Best of the season. Along with the Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra, the chorus opens the program with Vivaldi’s Gloria, a joyful hymn of praise and worship that is recognized around the world. In keeping with the spirit of the season, audiences can look forward to an event full of fun and festivity from the chorus, musicians, and dancers performing for the New Dominion Choraliers 28th holiday concert. Get ready to “Sing a Song of Christmas!!!”
The concerts will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church of Dale City located at 14391 Minnieville Road, Dale City, VA 22193. Tickets for the event can be purchased at the door or online at newdominionchoraliers.org. Prices are $10 for individuals or $20 for a family attending together.
The next weekend finds the New Dominion Choraliers in Williamsburg, Virginia on December 14 to perform the Gloria and other sacred Christmas songs at the historic Bruton Parish Church. “Bruton Parish is one of our favorite places to sing,” says Nelson-Tracey. “We are honored to be invited each year to participate in the candlelight concerts, and look forward to coming here at the holiday season.”
Earlier this fall many members of the New Dominion Choraliers joined the Tema Choir USA at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at 14508 Telegraph Road to help celebrate their fifth anniversary. Last year NDC joined the Tema Choir for their holiday concert. “We hope to continue to collaborate with their singers and artistic director, Ebenezer Allotey, in the future,” says Nelson-Tracey.
In November, NDC collaborated with the Alexandria NVCC Symphony Orchestra in their performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony held at the Rachel M Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in Alexandria.
The New Dominion Choraliers is a non-auditioned chorus, committed to helping people find a community where they can experience the joy of singing with others.
