Thomas Circle Singers Present Concert: "Home"

WASHINGTON, DC — The Thomas Circle Singers (TCS), a distinguished choral ensemble dedicated to enriching the Washington, D.C. region through impactful musical performances and community partnerships, is proud to announce their upcoming concert, "Home." This performance will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 5:00 pm at the historic Church of the Epiphany, located at 1317 G St NW, Washington, DC 20005. "Home" explores the multifaceted concept of belonging, drawing inspiration from Stephen Paulus' poignant quote, "There is no such beauty as where you belong." The program features Shawn Kirchner's celebrated "Unclouded Day," which envisions finding one's home in a place of eternal joy. The concert will also highlight the ensemble’s longstanding commitment to supporting and presenting new music: TCS will give the D.C. premiere of Melissa Dunphy's "N-400 Erasure Songs.” Extracting words from the N-400 U.S. Customs and Immigration form, this work illustrates the alienation of the naturalization process. Under the artistic direction of Dr. Miles Canaday, TCS continues its mission to enrich the musical life of the Washington, D.C. region through engaging performances and partnerships with local social service organizations. Established in 1976, TCS envisions a future where choral singing is a vibrant part of a just and equitable society. Tickets for "Home" are now available for purchase. For more information and to secure your seats, please visit the Thomas Circle Singers' events page at thomascirclesingers.org/events/. In partnership with NW Community Food, TCS encourages concert attendees to bring donations of cleaning supplies, reusable bags, toiletries + personal care items, cheese, Spam, canned chicken, whole-grain hot and cold cereal, unsalted nuts, dried and canned fruits, cooking oil, fresh oranges and mandarins, granola bars, sealed, snack-size bags of trail mix, tea bags, Boost or Ensure, dog and cat food, wet and dry. TCS seeks to enrich the Washington, D.C. region through impactful musical performances and partnerships. In this effort, TCS offers complimentary concert admission for SNAP EBT cardholders and their immediate family. Please show your SNAP EBT card and ID at the ticket table.
