Botanic Garden of Lights

Hundreds of thousands of colorful lights transform Tulsa Botanic Garden into a magical holiday wonderland for the return of Botanic Garden of Lights. Kicking off on Friday, November 29, the festival runs from 5 to 9 p.m., on select nights: Nov. 29-Dec. 1, Dec.5-8, and nightly Dec. 12-30. The Garden will not be open on Dec. 24 and 25. Wide garden paths offer visitors a chance to stroll through whimsical features in the Driskill Children’s Discovery Garden like “Ice Giants” tending the Garden. The Tandy Floral Terraces offers elegant views as visitors wind through twinkling light curtains and colorfully lit trees with holiday music adding a festive feel. Giant lotus flower lights reflect on the water of the Bumgarner Family Foundation Lotus Pool along with illuminated splashing fountains and fanciful mushrooms and grasses in lights nearby. Added to the adorned garden areas this year will be the two-acre Jim and Cherry Bost Arboretum which opened in October with new light features. Every night of the event warm beverages, including hot cocoa, s’more kits and other refreshments will be available for sale. Fire pits will be available for roasting marshmallows. Photo stops among the lights will offer festive backgrounds. A family favorite, the snowball play pit will return for playful snowball fights.
