Celebrate community by preserving recipes and sharing stories across generations. Our teen volunteers will help older adults create digital keepsakes while building cultural connections.
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through recipes, family stories and intergenerational connections. In this special program, teens will partner with older adults to help preserve treasured family recipes by transforming handwritten recipes into polished digital copies that participants can take home.
Whether it’s a recipe passed down from a grandparent, a dish connected to a family’s cultural heritage or a favorite meal filled with special memories, this program helps preserve these traditions for future generations.
Participants are also invited to share the stories behind their recipes, creating opportunities for teens and older adults to connect, learn from one another and celebrate the importance of cultural heritage. Through digital support, storytelling and meaningful conversations, this program builds connections across generations — one recipe at a time.
Space is first come, first served. Each participant may bring one special recipe to preserve during the session.
