ART OPENING - CONTEMPORARY REALISM
M.A. Doran Gallery is excited to present the latest installation of the annual exhibit, "Contemporary Narrative Realism." The exhibit opens May 14, 2026, with an opening reception from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. Many artists will be present for the opening reception. Refreshments and light bites will be provided, and valet parking is available in back. The exhibit continues through June 19, 2026.
"Contemporary Narrative Realism" is a survey of artwork by gallery and guest artists who explore the complexities of academic and narrative realism through their own unique subject matter and visual language. Participating artists are invited from across the country, and their subject matter includes narrative, still life, floral and figurative artwork. Artists in this exhibit work in a variety of media including oil, acrylic, pencil, ceramic and mixed media. This exhibit aims to create a dialogue about current artistic practices in American Realism.
