11 a.m. – Putting the History Back in Family History
Learn how understanding historical events and context can bring your ancestors’ stories to life and deepen your family history research. You will learn how to use details such as fashions of the era, foods that were available, crops families may have grown, local and global events, and scientific developments to build fuller, more vivid narratives around your ancestors. This approach helps you move beyond names and dates to understand the world your families lived in.

1 p.m. – Hidden Clues in U.S. Census Records
Federal census records hold far more than just names and dates. In this presentation, Bulleigh shows how to uncover overlooked details that can help break through stubborn research barriers. By examining subtle patterns in the data, neighborhood connections and important contextual clues, genealogists can discover new insights hidden within these familiar records.
