Tucson Death Cafe Friendly & Fearless - Virtual

Death Cafes are safe, respectful, community conversation groups to "increase awareness of death with the aim of helping people make the most of their (finite) lives" (deathcafe.com). Not counseling or therapy. Death Cafes began in London in 2011 and have now taken place in 93 countries in the world! 12 years in Tucson, Arizona! Since going virtual due to the pandemic (we are now also back in person), people have joined our Tucson Death Cafe from Nigeria, the UK, Hungary, the Netherlands, Ecuador, Columbia, The Philippines, Canada, and all over the United States. Death Cafes have no agenda, script, or leading questions. Conversation is led by whatever is on the minds and hearts of participants. We’ve talked about practical aspects of death like what to do with possessions, how we want to be buried and remembered, celebrations of life, world death customs, how to talk with our families, anticipatory grief, our fears and challenges, musings on soul, the afterlife, social and cultural deaths, our beloved animal companions and so much more. We've shared books, movies, music, and tips on how we stay healthy, well, and connected in a fast-changing world. Invite your friends and family! See BLOGS & more at: www.facebook.com/TucsonDeathCafe/. To get meeting reminders: email Isabel at: [email protected].
