The spine is the essential frame of our physical body. Often, when it’s in distress, we have symptoms, including pain, that radiate far from this source. Spinal health is vital to our quality of life. In this workshop, we’ll explore the basics of yoga for a healthy spine and a strong, pain-free back. From neck to tail, you’ll learn how to move the body safely to alleviate and prevent pain, strengthen, and improve posture and balance.
Maevyn’s journey with yoga for back care began in her late 30s, following a diagnosis of early onset osteoarthritis of the spine. A year ago, she began sharing her knowledge with students teaching a weekly yoga class focused on back care every Thursday at 4pm.
In-studio participants are limited to 15; pre registration is required.
