Sunday morning at The Grand Tucson takes on the spirit of a classic New Orleans jazz brunch as trumpeter Brandon Woody leads an intimate, groove-rich performance filled with warmth and soul. Fresh from his Century Room appearance the night before, Woody brings a different side of his artistry to this relaxed daytime setting, where jazz, gospel, and the joy of gathering around great music come together naturally.
Joining him is vocalist Danielle Angrand, a 2026 YoungArts Winner with Distinction in Jazz Voice from New World School of the Arts. Angrand brings a gospel element to the program, adding a riveting dimension to Woody’s Baltimore-rooted blend of jazz, gospel, and improvisation. One of only two students from New World School of the Arts to receive YoungArts’ highest honor in 2026, Angrand arrives at TJF as an exciting young talent.
At The Grand, the music is only part of the experience. This year’s brunch returns with a renewed focus on classic brunch fare, generous hospitality, and the easygoing feel of a Sunday gathering built around swinging music and good company. The goal is simple: settle in, enjoy the room, savor the meal, and let the music take over.
