Call for youth art: Drawn to Glass competition

The Sonoran Glass School is proud to announce our first annual competition for young artists! We are inviting youth ages 8-18 to submit a drawing to be transformed into glass. Using a furnace, torch, kiln, or coldworking tools our artists will use the drawings to create them in real life out of glass. Glass artworks will be available for purchase at our fundraising event on March 14th with three designs made live! All proceeds support our Youth Education Program, providing glass experiences and education to youth in Southern Arizona. Submissions close January 15th. Timeline: Now through January 14th, 2026 – Call for art January 31st – Artists will be notified if their drawing was selected February through March – Artworks will be created in glass by SGS staff March 14th – Fundraising event with 3 designs made live and all pieces available for silent auction bidding Submission requirements: Artists must be currently living in Southern Arizona Artists can be between 8-18 years old One submission per person A high resolution image of the artwork will need to be submitted via the google form.
