Mark Wood Trans-Siberian Symphony Experience with Tucson Pops Orchestra
Enjoy an evening with world-renowned electric violin innovator Mark Wood, original string master of the of the internationally acclaimed Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO); with over 10 million albums sold during his time with them. Partnering with Mark will be the great Tucson Pops Orchestra, under the direction of the Khris Dodge.
The show will encompass Mark’s high-powered arrangements of Trans-Siberian crowd favorites, plus additional symphonic versions of his original music and classic rock favorites; and will feature the vocal prowess of Laura Kaye. The concert finale will spotlight young musicians from TUSD, many of whom Mark has worked with in conjunction with his Electrify Your Symphony music education program.
Recording artist, performer, producer, inventor, Emmy award-winning composer and music education advocate Mark Wood has spent the past four decades electrifying the music industry and has toured with some of its biggest names.
Vocalist Laura Kaye has worked with legendary artists such as James Brown, Aretha Franklin, and Lenny Kravitz; and is Mark’s partner in all their endeavors.
Special guests include members of Tucson’s own Reveille Men’s Chorus.
