Exploring Roadless Areas: Hike in Coronado National Forest


We are eager to invite you to join us in a group hike hosted by Environment Arizona. Join us in supporting our environment and having an unforgettable morning alongside your friends, family, and peers. Arizona’s forests are under threat. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has announced a plan to open up thousands of acres of wild national forests by rescinding the policy known as the Roadless Rule. We’ll be raising awareness about the importance of our wild forests this year by hiking together in protected roadless areas. Join a low-intensity guided hike on Saturday, March 21, at 8:00 am and learn why protecting these wild forests matters. Additional Details: Date: March 21st Time: 8:00 AM Location: Molino Basin Trailhead of the Coronado National Forest Wear appropriate attire: sturdy shoes with closed toes and a hat Bring water (1 liter recommended), snacks, gear such as trekking poles, as needed Parking is limited at the trailhead, so if you’re coming as a group, please carpool Passes for Coronado National Forest can be purchased in-person with exact cash or online at https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74388 Upon arrival, we will have guests sign a waiver before our friends with the Arizona Trail Association lead us off.
