Premiered in New York City in 1924 with Gershwin himself at the piano, Rhapsody in Blue brought the worlds of jazz and the concert hall together in a work that has become one of the most recognizable and enduring compositions in American music.
At the piano, five-time GRAMMY® nominee and Steinway Artist Christian Sands brings a musical voice ideally suited to this meeting of jazz and orchestra.
