Tucson Pops Orchestra: “Memories” featuring performances by soloists Christian Hill and Byron Yount
As the second concert in our Music Under The Stars Fall 2024 Concert Series, the Tucson Pops Orchestra is proud to present “Memories” featuring performances by soloists Christian Hill (Oboe) and Byron Yount (Trumpet) who will present a selection of timeless classics and Tucson Pops favorites with the orchestra.
Tucson’s legendary Pops Orchestra has performed concerts in the park for 69 seasons, bringing together thousands of attendees - families, friends, music lovers from all over the city. All performances are free with support from from sponsors and “Friends of the Pops” at each concert. This support is essential in helping to continue the Pops mission of allowing everyone in the community to experience the magic of live music performed by professional musicians.
Tucson Pops concerts take place on Sunday evenings at 7pm.
This season showcases Tucson’s incredible wealth of world class talent, performing with the Tucson Pops. Conductor and Artistic Director Khris Dodge works year-round to create exciting concerts that have broad appeal. “I love how music brings people together. Whether it be in a family’s living room, in a jazz club, a theatre, or a city park, we yearn for that human connection, not only with the musicians but with the people who surround us as we listen. Each concert features a beer garden and a wide selection of dining opportunities from the Food Truck Roundup. As always, guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic set up, relax and enjoy three beautiful evenings of outstanding Music Under the Stars™.
