Now, years after studying with Dick, Hathaway returns not just as a student, but as a collaborator, co-leading workshops in extended techniques, improvisation, and interdisciplinary sound creation. The two artists embody very different artistic voices — Dick, the inventor and virtuoso whose innovations like the Glissando HeadjointTM have reshaped the instrument, and Hathaway, the sound designer using technology, loops, and layered effects to build immersive sonic worlds.
