15th Annual Breeze in the Trees 5K Run/Walk
The Breeze in the Trees 5K Run/Walk is a unique summer event held in the beautiful pecan orchards of Sahuarita, Arizona, and part of the popular Pecan Orchard Running Series. Participants run or walk beneath towering pecan trees while experiencing the orchard during one of the most active stages of the growing season. The course offers a refreshing atmosphere, scenic orchard views, and a chance to connect with nature and the local community.
More than just a race, Breeze in the Trees celebrates health, agriculture, and Southern Arizona’s rural beauty. The professionally timed event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, whether they are aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying a fun morning outdoors with family and friends.
Participants enjoy commemorative shirts and medals, awards for top finishers, great refreshments including pecan pancakes, and a lively community atmosphere. The event also supports local schools and non-profit organizations, helping make a positive impact in the region.
As part of the Orchard Series, Breeze in the Trees gives participants the opportunity to witness the seasonal development of the pecan orchard, creating an experience that is both memorable and meaningful year after year.

COURSE:
This run is part of the "Orchard Series," which offers runners the chance to traverse the pecan orchards at various seasons of the year. The Breeze in the Trees event occurs early in the morning during the summer when the trees boast a full canopy of leaves. Though the pecans aren't yet ripe for consumption, they have reached their maximum size. This provides participants with a rare opportunity to explore the farm and enjoy a truly spectacular running experience amidst the trees. Dirt Roads
