PARADE ROUTE: Downtown District – Ida East Rd., Lewis Ave. – Beginning and ending at Ida United Methodist Church
Experience the magic of the season with Holiday Hounds on Parade, a one-of-a-kind event nestled in the heart of Ida. Join us as we celebrate the festive spirit alongside our beloved furry companions, big or small, in a charming procession through the picturesque Village of Ida.
Capture cherished memories with your canine companion during our special Holiday Photos session, conveniently located at the parade lineup location. It’s an opportunity not to be missed amidst the joyous atmosphere.
Calling all dog enthusiasts! Prepare to be enthralled as all breeds, regardless of age, strut proudly in their finest holiday attire, spreading cheer to spectators lining the streets of Ida. Witness the adorable spectacle unfold as participants parade from the scenic Ida United Methodist Church on Ida East Road, meandering west to Lewis Avenue, then south to Ida Street, completing a delightful loop before returning to where it all began.
The excitement doesn’t end there! Prizes await the most dazzling displays of holiday flair, with winners receiving prestigious plaques and a delightful treat for their four-legged friends. Be part of the magic and witness the holiday spirit come alive at Holiday Hounds on Parade.

The Holiday Hounds on Parade will choose a Prince and Princess who will be featured in the Parade of Lights and will ride on their own float.
Rules and entry numbers will be mailed or available on the day of the event at the registration table at the Ida United Methodist Church. Check-in will start at 1 pm and the parade will kick off at 2:15 pm.
Participants must have their dogs on a leash at all times and will sign a hold harmless agreement at the registration staging area.
Parking will be available at the Ida Township Community Center. The parking lot is accessible from Van Aiken Street (by the water tower).
