Join Tampa Theatre and Scatter Brothers Productions for special afternoon of heartwarming holiday cheer!
Saint Nick of Bethlehem is loosely based on the true story of Pennsylvania resident, Allen Smith. In the film, Nick (played by one of Hollywood’s most familiar faces, Daniel Roebuck) has lost his way after the tragic death of his son. Divorced and living with his mother, (Cathy Moriarity) Nick has let himself go to the point that his round belly and white beard invite Santa Claus comparisons from well-meaning strangers. Nick decides that adopting the fictional character’s best traits finally allows him an opportunity to reconnect with the world he shut out, and he soon learns that with every gift he gives away he also diminishes his grief.
Guests are invited to come early to meet Roebuck – who also co-wrote and co-directed the film – starting at 2:00pm in the lobby. After the film, stick around for a panel discussion and audience Q&A with the filmmakers and a very special visit from Saint Nick himself! (Photos will be available in the lobby.)
