Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival 2025

The 12th Annual TBUFF invades Citrus Park from 12/4 to 12/7, featuring about 200 really cool “underground” movies from people you’ve mostly never heard of, with a nearly equal amount of Florida productions & national/international projects. We have dozens of local productions, including a documentary about one of Tampa’s cigar industry giants and one of the most ambitious independent fantasy films ever shot here. We’re not sure if anyone famous will show up (it’s happened a time or 2, mostly by accident), but everyone seemed to enjoy the event without celebrities the first 11 years, and with panels, an Oscars-like awards ceremony and quirky after-parties TBUFF is a must for lovers of low budget independent cinema.
