On April 13, 1886, the newly opened Sanchez y Haya cigar company on 7th Avenue became the first place in Ybor City to roll a cigar. Soon after, we earned our nickname: Cigar City. We're proud to pay homage to Ignacio Haya, carrying the spirit of the founding fathers and cigar artisans who came here to establish Ybor City. Join Hotel Haya and Tampa’s last cigar manufacturer, J.C. Newman Cigar Co. as they team up to celebrate the craft with this one-of-a-kind experience.
We're offering an exclusive hands-on experience! Learn how to roll your very own cigars in an intimate setting with J.C. Newman's master cigar rollers.
