On Saturday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM, Broadway "Edutainer" Ellen Katz invites us to Rendezvous with Hamilton. . .the musical, that is! Ellen will entertain and inform visitors with musical selections, trivia and tidbits from behind the stage door. Ellen Katz’s blood type is B—B for Broadway. She pursues her passion for Broadway "SuperMusicals!" and the best of the American Songbook by engaging others. Born in Baltimore, she received a BS in Music Education Magna cum Laude at the University of Maryland and taught in public and private schools.
For over twenty years, Ellen has been invited to share her engaging presentations on "SuperMusicals!" for adults at prestigious organizations including The Chautauqua Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Peabody Conservatory of Music, The Osher Institute at Towson University and for Florida Gulf Coast University in Naples, Florida. Her lecture series have received rave reviews from attendees and administrators as well.
Admission is $10 at the door. Reserve your seat in advance. A patriotic theme is sure to suit your taste, as are tasty snacks and museum admission, included with the presentation. Arrive a little early to view the collection of mostly American Brass Era cars. Put a feather in your cap and join us for a whimsical presentation partially based on history and predominantly based on musical fun.
Don't throw away your shot to find out more about the musical you know and love, just in time for George Washington's Birthday!
This presentation is part of The Collection on Palmetto's ongoing Speaker Series. We strive to highlight interesting speakers and presenters from around Tampa Bay and beyond. If you have a wonderful idea for a presentation or would like to inquire about the possibility of being a presenter yourself, please let us know!
