Mr. Lipman will discuss his book about former New York State Lieutenant Governor Alfred DelBello. As Mayor of Yonkers, DelBello halted political corruption. As Westchester’s first Democratic County Executive, he worked across party lines to benefit everyone, yet he found himself fettered by his own party as Lieutenant Governor. His professionalism and bipartisanship help us rethink our current political divide.
Lipman, who was born and raised in Rye Brook, is the president of Write Makes Might, a consulting group specializing in political communication and public outreach. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bates College, his M.B.A. from Boston University, and his master’s degree in public policy from the University of Maryland. Alfred B. DelBello: His Life and Times is his first book.
A book signing will follow the event.
