The world-renowned Whiffenpoofs of Yale University, America’s oldest collegiate a cappella ensemble, will bring their signature blend of vocal magic and timeless charm to the Somerset Hills on Friday, April 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Pluckemin Presbyterian Church. This special event marks the launch of MISH in the Schools, an innovative new outreach program presented by Music in the Somerset Hills (MISH) to inspire and support young choral singers in the region.
In the days leading up to the concert, the Whiffenpoofs will engage in an extraordinary mentorship experience with chorus students from Ridge High School and Somerville High School. Through workshops, masterclasses, and rehearsals, these talented high school vocalists will receive invaluable coaching from one of the most esteemed a cappella groups in the world.
The audience will be delighted with an eclectic acapella program by the renowned Whiffenpoofs. The evening will culminate in a heartwarming and unforgettable finale, as the Whiffenpoofs take the stage alongside their student mentees, bridging generations through the power of song. This unique collaboration underscores the mission of MISH in the Schools—to provide transformative musical experiences that enrich young voices and strengthen the choral community in Somerset County.
