Joel DeWitt and Evan Schwartzman will present an evening of music for violin and piano by Beethoven, Debussy, Bloch, Kreisler, and Schwartzman. Featured on the program will be Beethoven’s irrepressibly energetic Sonata in G Major, Op. 30, no. 3, the Violin Sonata of Claude Debussy, one of the last pieces he completed before his untimely death, along with a movement from the Baal Shem of Ernst Bloch, a pseudonymous “discovery” of Fritz Kreisler, and music for violin and piano by Evan Schwartzman.
