The Terra North Jersey STEM Fair is actively recruiting volunteer judges for our 2026 exhibition which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 21 -22 at Kean University in Union NJ.
Since 1983, the mission of the Terra North Jersey STEM Fair (TNJSF) has been to support, encourage, and recognize student involvement in scientific research.
The Fair welcomes entries from all high school students (grades 9-12) in ten counties of northern New Jersey: Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, and Warren. Projects can be in any area of STEM with categories ranging from animal model organisms and biochemistry to engineering and computer simulations in multiple disciplines. Students exhibiting outstanding projects can win scholarships, Fair Honors, cash prizes, and an array of special awards. Grand Awardees will represent North Jersey at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and the GENIUS Olympiad.
Volunteer judges are crucial for providing meaningful feedback to our budding scientists. All judges must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and will be able to judge in their areas of expertise. Judging takes place on Saturday, March 21 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm and Sunday, March 22 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
