Gina Liotta Sipley, PhD is Associate Professor of English and the Vice Chair of the Creative Writing Program at SUNY Nassau Community College where she co-organizes the Lit, Live! reading series and co-advises Luna, the award winning undergraduate literary journal. Her poetry has been published in New York Quarterly, The Paterson Literary Review, LIPS, The Healing Muse, The Sierra Nevada Review. A semi finalist for the Laura Boss Narrative Poetry Prize from New York Quarterly Books and a NYS certified teacher, she has run workshops for Long Island Children's Museum, Sea Cliff Arts Council, The Heckscher Museum, Girl Scouts of America and the Nassau County Public Library System. She is the author of Just Here For the Comments: Lurking as Digital Literacy Practice (Bristol University Press, 2024) and a first generation college graduate.
