SOUP & PASTA CONTEST at Meyersville Grange 188 January 9, 6:30pm
Meyersville Grange 188's popular SOUP & PASTA CONTEST returns on January 9, 2026, at the Historic Grange Hall, 500 Meyersville Road, Gillette. Enjoy a Delicious Family-style Meal while listening to Live Music by The Long Hill String Band.
Cooks are encouraged to bring a Generous Pot of their favorite Soup or Family-size Pasta to Enter in the Contest to share with their neighbors and friends. Many Entries makes it a True Contest!
Each person attending samples the Soup / Pasta and then VOTES for their Favorite Entry. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Cooks are awarded Certificates and "Bragging Rights". See photo of the November 2025 Winners: 1st - Doris Mertz (Cajun Kabocha Soup w/Bacon), 2nd - Jamie Thorn (Swedish Meatballs in Gravy with Egg Noodles, Lingonberries), and 3rd - Fritz Kielblock (Ham and Potato Soup).
MENU: All you can taste if the Contest Soups and Pasta Dishes, Rolls and Butter, Hot Coffee/Tea, Iced Tea. Desserts ($3) and Bottled Water ($1) are available for purchase.
ADMISSION: Adult: $10.00; Child under 12: $5.00. COOKS who Enter the Contest: FREE.
