UNIVERSITY CHAMBER CHOIR TO PERFORM
A choral concert featuring the Concordia University Chamber Choir from Seward, Nebraska is coming to Zion Lutheran Church, 3866 S. Old Highway 94 in St. Charles, MO on Saturday, February 22 at 6:30 pm.
The University Chamber Choir was formed in the fall of 1998 and has gained a reputation for excellence in the singing of chamber vocal music. The 14-voice choir has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. including concert tours to New York, Maryland, Delaware, California, Arizona, Nevada, Florida and throughout the Midwest. The select choir, chosen from the 72-voice University A Cappella Choir, sings a diverse repertoire of sacred and secular choral music from many historical periods.
The choir is directed by professor of music, Dr. Kurt E. von Kampen, conductor of the acclaimed University A Cappella Choir. Professor of music and pianist, Dr. Elizabeth Grimpo will also perform with the choir.
This choral event is part of the Music at Zion concert series for 2024-2025. Admission to the concert is free, although there will be an opportunity to give a free will offering.
