July 21-25, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Senior Dance Intensive $450 (housing extra) 14-Adult (high school and beyond) July 28-31, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Junior Dance Intensive $350 10-14 (middle school) Aug. 1-3, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mini Dance Intensive $250 8-10 (upper elementary) Webster University’s Department of Dance presents three exciting on-campus summer dance intensives for intermediate and advanced dancers each summer. Our offerings include a five-day senior program for high school- and college-aged dancers, a four-day junior program for rising sixth- through eighth-grade students, and a three-day mini program for rising third- through fifth-grade students. Dancers can expect to be challenged technically and artistically through a wide variety of classes taught by Webster Dance faculty and professional artists from the region. In addition to daily ballet and contemporary classes, students will train in jazz, musical theatre dance, improvisation, hip-hop and aerial. Daily lunchtime discussions will explore topics important to aspiring dancers, including audition tips, injury prevention and treatment, and dance in college and beyond. Each intensive will conclude with a showcase — open to family and friends.
