The Beauty Queen of Leenane
Albion Theatre presents this chillingly dark comedy by Oscar, Golden Globe and Olivier winner Martin McDonagh. Set in a small town in County Galway, Ireland, the play tells the tale of Maureen, a lonely woman in her early 40s, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother. Mag's interference in Maureen's first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that leads inexorably towards a terrifying denouement. Featuring Teresa Doggett, Heather Matthews, Austin Cochran, Jason Meyers. Directed by Robert Ashton. All evening performances start at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m.
