On March 9, The Fountain on Locust invites you to the inaugural chapter of our new quarterly series: Goddesses of the Glass. In celebration of Women's History Month, this event isn’t just a tasting; it’s a celebration of the fierce, female visionaries who are breaking glass ceilings in the world of viticulture, brewing, and distilling. From the soil to the cellar, women are redefining what it means to craft world-class beverages. We’re bringing their stories to your table in a four-course sensory journey through soup, salad, our signature artichoke dip, and a decadent Fountain dessert finish.
Hosted by a Legend:Darryl "Poncho" Vennard
To truly honor these makers, we’ve enlisted the industry’s premier storyteller. Darryl Vennard—renowned for his deep global travels and legendary palate—has personally curated this evening’s pairings. Known for his ability to transport guests with a single anecdote, Darryl will weave together the history, the struggle, and the triumph behind every bottle we pour.
The Experience
The Rare & The Refined: Four courses, each paired with a wine, sake, or craft cocktail produced by female-led estates and distilleries. Each course is a whimsical "high/low" pairing - a refined drink with a scratchmade comfort dish from by the culinary team at The Fountain.
