Based on several of his books, including True Crime, Disasters, and Police Tales of Old St. Louis, Zimmerman’s presentation recounts some of the city’s most shocking events from 1860 to 1909—when St. Louis stood as the largest city west of the Mississippi River.
Buildings are just bricks, wood, and mortar without the stories surrounding these structures. Zimmerman will tell the stories of many of St. Louis’ most recognizable buildings, expanding on the city’s connection to and history of true crime.
