Millstadt Weihnachtsfest {German Christmas Festival}
Millstadt Sister Cities Organization will sponsor the 30th Annual Weihnachtsfest {German Christmas Festival} on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at St. James Parish Center, 423 West Madison Street (one block South of Highway 158).
The craft fair opens at 10:00 am and features holiday gifts, hand-crafted jewelry, wearing apparel and decorative items.
A holiday Cookie Walk will feature home-made Christmas cookies including German specialties.
German food (sauerbraten, bratwurst, schnitzel, potato pancakes, red cabbage, sauerkraut, and strudel) will be served beginning 11:30 am.
Santa will arrive in a parade at 12:00 Noon in which civic organizations and businesses are invited to participate. Entertainment will be provided by the Millstadt Community Choir, Waterloo German Band and St. Louis German Cultural Society Jugendgruppe {youth group} dancers. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for children to deliver their wish lists.
There is no admission charge. Alles Willkommen!
Proceeds will benefit Millstadt Sister Cities’ Youth Ambassador Exchange and other programs with Gross-Bieberau, Germany.
