The American Revolution Experience

As America celebrates 250 years of independence this year, three local chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution are hosting a traveling exhibit that will connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation. In partnership with the American Battlefield Trust, Olde Towne Fenton Chapter, NSDAR Inc., John Sappington Chapter, and Louisiana Purchase Chapter will bring the American Revolution Experience, a free nationwide traveling exhibit, to the St. Louis area. The American Revolution Experience is a pop-up exhibition featuring display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology, unique artifacts and primary accounts to educate audiences as to how the lives of ordinary people were affected by the events of the American Revolutionary War. The exhibit will be offered March 30-April 11 at the Jefferson County Library Northwest Branch, 5680 State Road PP, High Ridge, MO 63049. The exhibit is open during library hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Groups of 10 or more, including schools and Scout troops, are welcome. Please email Kathleen Givens at [email protected] to schedule a group outing.
