Hand-in-Hand: SignBridge Kickoff
SignBridge Debuts in St. Louis to Bridge Deaf and Hearing Communities
Community kickoff event on May 3 highlights sign language, culture and community connection.
SignBridge, a new St. Louis-based nonprofit, will host its grand kickoff event on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Five Oaks Community Center. The organization is composed of Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing individuals and aims to foster connection between the Deaf and hearing communities by increasing Deaf visibility, creating learning opportunities, and promoting cultural exchange. The grand launch event, titled “Hand-in-Hand: SignBridge Kickoff,” will feature sign language games, ASL performances, and local concessions for sale, including items from Damn Fine Hand Pies and Blue Goose Bakes. All are welcome! Meet Deaf and hearing community members, learn about upcoming classes and events, and show your support for Deaf culture and inclusion in St. Louis.
