Ka-Chow! Cars Event

Everyone’s favorite four-wheeled hero makes a triumphant return trip to Edwardsville Children’s Museum (ECM) for the second annual Ka-Chow! Cars Event on Sunday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Your family is invited to join Lighting McQueen himself for high-octane excitement and Route 66 history as ECM transforms into Radiator Springs for one fun-filled day. In addition to free admission to the Museum and a family photo shoot with Lightning McQueen, the Ka-Chow! Cars Event includes special activities for racing fans young and old: · Buckle up for your own Piston Cup series on the kid-sized speedway. · Visit the Kid Zone for tire painting, sensory bins with a car wash, and the “Life is a Highway” Dance Party. · Make a pit stop at the replica repair shop inside the H&F Exterior Garage to learn the ins and outs of car care. · Running out of steam? Fuel up at one of the on-site food trucks! “We welcomed more than 1,500 guests to our last Ka-Chow! Cars Event, and for this go-round, we’ve made the thrills even more exciting for ‘Cars’ fans,” said ECM executive director Kristen Fries. “Ka-Chow isn’t just about immersing kids in one of their favorite movies, but teaching them the history behind the story. By introducing them to Route 66 through Lighting McQueen’s journey, we want them to get excited about the Mother Road and its impact on the Edwardsville community.” The Ka-Chow! Cars Event is free to families thanks to the support of local organizations and sponsors, including the City of Edwardsville.
