The Futuremakers Civic & Social Salon is designed to create space for open dialogue, shared ideas, and direct participation in shaping the future of downtown.
The evening begins with a 10-minute community keynote to frame the topic, followed by a 15-minute Q&A and discussion. Five community speakers then take part in a pass-the-mic session, each with two minutes to share ideas, projects, or perspectives connected to the theme. The event may also include a presentation by a Downtown organization.
Interactive boards will be available throughout the event for attendees to contribute thoughts, identify priorities, and respond to what they are hearing in real time.
Topics are selected by Futuremakers members in advance and are centered on key areas shaping downtown, including placemaking, small business, policy, and ownership.
Vote in this poll by March 24 to inform the topic for our April 2 event, or email your vote to [email protected]. (Instagram poll viewable from mobile only.)
Special guests will be announced after the topic has been selected.
